by Amelia Glean
As the sun shone down on Windsor Castle, and the nation tuned into watch the wedding of our newly dubbed Duke and Duchess of Sussex, we were treated to what may have been the best dressed celebrity guest list we’ve ever seen at an event of this calibre.
From Meghan’s closest friend Jessica Mulroney, to that Stella McCartney dress on Amar Clooney, here’s our top ten favourite looks from Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s wedding.
First up is the Duchess of Cambridge’s mum, who wore a mint green outfit by Catherine Walker, with a coordinating hat. This all proves you can’t go wrong with a chic pastel dress with neutral accessories!
Charles Spencer, Lady Diana’s brother, was joined by his wife, Karen Spencer. She looked great in a custom Pamella Roland violet-hued capelet dress. Mrs Spencer also wore a Rachel Trevor Morgan bow disc hat.
The actress and trusted member of Meghan’s girl gang wore a Vivienne Westwood lavender suit that was equal parts First Lady, Ladies who Lunch and Royal Wedding Guest perfection. Her makeup, done by Pati Dubroff using Chanel, was equally as stunning. She matched her lavender dress with berry eyes and lips, plus glowing skin.
The blonde beauty, arriving with her husband Marcus Mumford, was the picture of spring in an Erdem floral midi dress. Finishing her look with a cream William and Son clutch bag and nude heels, she was a serious contender.
Meghan’s best friend was the Pippa Middleton of Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding, turning heads as she ushered the little bridesmaids and pageboys into the chapel. Wearing a gorgeous dress in royal blue, designed by Montreal’s Antoinette Di Carlo — complete with cap sleeves and matching fascinator, Jessica is said to have been Meghan’s unofficial Maid of Honour.
Another member of the Markle girl squad, Abigail looked nothing short of stunning wearing a navy polka dot collared dress by Alessandra Rich, channeling a truly timeless style. We could not get enough.
The ex-footballer, 43, almost stole the show. Becks was seen wearing a morning suit, defined by a longer tailcoat, with a waistcoat and trousers – all made of the same material. It’s deeply traditional, but of course, Becks opted for a fitted look and a subtle dove grey waistcoat to give it a modern twist. Just wow.
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, chose an understated pale pistachio green day coat to mark her daughter’s special day, paired with a white floral embroidered matching dress by Oscar de la Renta. The gorgeous Mother of the Bride then chose a small white hat by Stephen Jones and heels by Aquazzura.
She never lets us down! Famous for vibrant block colours, Prince Harry’s grandmother dazzled in a lime coloured silk tweed coat with frogging detail over a floral dress, designed by Stewart Parvin. Her lime green hat was designed by Angela Kelly, the Queen’s official dressmaker.
We saved the very best until last. Amal wore a goldenrod Stella McCartney dress and fascinator, paired with Gianvito Rossi shoes. While George wore a grey suit with a pale yellow tie to match her, and we were loving it.
